Join Hanover and Hanson Town Open Space Committees and Wildlands Trust for a walk to explore the trails along the Indian Head River. Participants will begin at the historic site of Luddam’s Ford in Hanover, named after guide James Luddam, who, in 1632, carried Governor Winthrop across the river to get to Weymouth. We'll head north along the rail bed next to the river where old hobo markings can be seen, and return via the Hanson/Pembroke side of the Indian Head River through Wildlands Trust Tucker Preserve.
The walk is approximately 4.5 miles round trip. Park at Luddam's Ford Park on Elm Street in Hanover. Registration is not required for this hike. In case of inclement weather, please check here for updates.
