VolunTuesdays - North Fork Preserve

  • North Fork Preserve 1715 Plymouth Street Bridgewater, MA, 02324 United States (map)

Wildlands needs your help!

Join Wildlands Trust stewardship staff Zoë and Owen to complete the new trail project at our North Fork Preserve. All experience levels are welcome, and registration isn’t required!

Work will include carrying out lumber, assembling and installing bog boards using power tools, and trail cutbacks using hand snips, loppers, and hand saws. At the project’s completion, a 1.5-mile trail will create public access to North Fork Preserve for the first time since Wildlands acquired it in 2001. The preserve comprises 41 acres of diverse woodland habitat along the banks of the Wild and Scenic Taunton River. The trail will begin at Wyman Meadow Conservation Area, a Town of Bridgewater preserve featuring 55 acres of historic farmland.

The volunteer day will last from 10am-1pm. Volunteers are free to come and go as they please. Questions? Contact Stewardship Programs Manager Zoë Smiarowski at zsmiarowski@wildlandstrust.org.
