One of the tremendous benefits of land conservation is public access to passive recreation opportunities for people of all ages and physical abilities. Many of the lands protected by the Trust are maintained as “preserves” with beautiful walking trails.

The Trust maintains a portfolio of nearly 250 conservation properties, many of which have trail systems and are open for your enjoyment.

A trail creates a path through ferns in the forest at the Striar Conservancy, a Wildlands Trust preserve in Halifax, Massachusetts.
