Wildlands Trust is a proud partner site of TerraCorps, a Massachusetts-based AmeriCorps program focused on leadership development and capacity building for land trusts and urban agriculture movements. We are seeking qualified applicants interested in committing to a year of AmeriCorps service as the TerraCorps Land Stewardship Coordinator at Wildlands Trust.

The Land Stewardship Coordinator (LSC) will build the long-term capacity of Wildlands Trust by creating networks of volunteers to support hands-on stewardship of conservation lands. They will organize, train, and collaborate with municipal boards, neighborhood and civic associations, community members, youth groups, and schools to care for, improve access to, and support the long-term resiliency and sustainable use of community lands.  By providing training and organizing collaborative land-focused projects, they will increase resources for community projects, demonstrate environmentally responsible land management, help individuals build skills, and nurture an inclusive sense of public ownership in the local landscape. LSCs spend roughly 60% of their time in the office and 40% in the field.

Wildlands Trust is seeking a LSC candidate interested in enhancing and expanding our volunteer stewardship programs, leading stewardship-based land ethics programming for local schools and youth groups, and working closely with our staff and partners to expand Environmental Justice initiatives in the City of Brockton.
