Wildlands Trust
Maps on Apps

Finding your way on Wildlands Trust trails is easier than ever with our updated maps on mobile apps! We have two great options to track your location while exploring Wildlands preserves. We recommend Avenza Maps, but if you love the app you’re already using, we’ve got you covered!

The free Avenza Maps app allows you to track your location at Wildlands Trust properties even when you’re offline. That’s right—you won’t even need cell service to know exactly where you are on a Wildlands preserve!

Follow a few simple steps and start exploring:

  1. Download Avenza Maps in your app store (Apple or Android) for free.

  2. In Avenza Maps, navigate to “store” and search “Wildlands Trust" for Wildlands Trust preserve maps that you can download for free.

  3. When you get to a Wildlands Trust preserve, open the Avanza Maps app, go to “my maps” to choose your preserve’s map, then start hiking! Your location will be tracked along the map as you hike, with or without cell service.

The following preserves are on Avenza Maps:

  • Great River Preserve (Bridgewater)

  • Brockton Audubon Preserve (Brockton)

  • Striar Conservancy (Halifax)

  • Hoyt-Hall Preserve (Marshfield)

  • Phillips Farm Preserve (Marshfield)

  • Tucker Preserve & the IHRT (Pembroke, Hanover, Hanson)

  • Willow Brook Farm (Pembroke)

  • Crystal Spring Preserve (Plainville)

  • Davis-Douglas Conservation Area (Plymouth)

  • Halfway Pond Conservation Area (Plymouth)

We are continuously adding more Wildlands preserves to Avenza Maps. You can find out if a preserve is on Avenza on the preserve’s information page on our trails page and at the trailhead kiosk.

Other Apps:

Already using an app you love to track your hikes? Wildlands maps are there too! Open Street Maps (OSM) provides data for thousands of apps and websites; your app of choice likely uses OSM, as well. Make sure you’re using the OSM layer on your favorite app for accurate Wildlands Trust trails.
