Volunteer Day I at North Fork Preserve

  • Wyman Meadow Conservation Area 1715 Plymouth St Bridgewater, MA, 02324 United States (map)

Wildlands needs your help!

Want to have a hand in the establishment of a hiking trail that will serve Bridgewater residents for generations to come? Every Tuesday from now until December, Wildlands is hosting volunteer drop-in days to reestablish a historic trail system at Wyman Meadow Conservation Area and North Fork Preserve. All experience levels are welcome, and no registration is required!

Tasks include raking, lopping, hand sawing, and more. At the project’s completion, a 1.5-mile trail will create public access to North Fork Preserve for the first time since Wildlands acquired it in 2001. The preserve comprises 41 acres of diverse woodland habitat along the banks of the Wild and Scenic Taunton River. The trail will begin at Wyman Meadow Conservation Area, a Town of Bridgewater preserve featuring 55 acres of historic farmland.

Drop-in days will last from 10am-1pm. Volunteers are free to come and go as they please. Questions? Contact Stewardship Coordinator Zoë Smiarowski at zsmiarowski@wildlandstrust.org.
