This volunteer event has been rescheduled from the original date of February 28 due to weather.
Wildlands Trust Stewardship is looking for volunteers to help with building new trails at our Emery East Preserve in Plymouth, MA. This project is part of an initiative to create a 13 mile trail that will connect the Town of Plymouth's Beaver Dam Conservation Area with Myles Standish HQ.
The plan is to start the workday at 9:30 AM and run until around noon. Wildlands Trust Stewardship staff and Town of Plymouth Department of Marine and Environmental Affairs will be on site for the entirety of the day. Parking:
Parking will be roadside on Old Sandwich Rd, the closest address is 991 Old Sandwich Rd Plymouth, MA 02360. Please look for the Wildlands Trust staff vehicles on the side of road and park as near as possible.
What to Wear and Bring:
Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
Water, 1-2 bottles
Snacks
Work gloves (if you have them, we will provide work gloves to anyone who needs them).
Loppers + hand snips (if you have them)
Restrictions:
Ages 12+
No pets
We are adhering to state guidelines for COVID-19. Please read rules carefully before registering:
• Participants must be fully vaccinated in order to participate.
• Participants must register in advance.
• Participants must agree to the Wildlands Trust COVID-19 terms and conditions for outdoor programs, as provided during Eventbrite registration.
• If a participant or someone in their household is ill, has symptoms associated with COVID-19, has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 7 days, or is awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, they are asked not to attend.
• If a participant becomes ill within 7 days following their participation in the event, they should contact Stewardship Coordinator Zoë Smiarowski at zsmiarowski@wildlandstrust.org.
• These programs are weather permitting. If a program has to be cancelled due to weather, attendees will be notified via email the night before.
