Join this family-friendly program to learn about those wet areas in your neighborhood, and find out what is making all that noise every spring. MassDEP Environmental Analyst Carlos Fragata will present "The Sights and Sounds of Wetlands and Wildlife”, which covers different Massachusetts wetland types, wetland impacts, protecting them, different animal species which frequent them, their life cycles and interactions with one another, and the sounds that some of them make. It provides some basics on some local Massachusetts amphibians (frogs and salamanders) that are found in some wetlands such as vernal pools.
After the presentation, we will take a walk at Striar Conservancy to explore and hunt for wetland critters!
