Join Wildlands Trust for an informational talk about mosquitos and ticks with Erin Morrill and Blake Dinius!
Erin Morrill, Community Liaison for the Plymouth County Mosquito Control Project will present an overview of the life cycle of a mosquito and explain services provided by the Plymouth County Mosquito Control Project for the safety/prevention of communities when needed. Topics that Erin will discuss include the importance of protecting yourself from mosquito bites, choosing effective repellents, learning about mosquito-borne diseases, and how to properly remove objects that hold water in and around your properties.
Blake Dinius is an Entomologist (an expert on insects!) for the Plymouth County Extension. Blake speaks on the subject of ticks from insect identification, management tips for prevention, proven protection methods, tick biology and ecology, tick-borne diseases, and the myth-busting of ticks! Blake has led Wildlands Trust presentations and guided hikes over the years.
