Join Wildlands Trust and Manomet Conservation Sciences to build an outdoor classroom for Raymond Elementary School in Brockton, MA.
Wildlands Trust and Manomet Conservation Sciences have partnered to create three outdoor classrooms at elementary schools across Brockton, MA, an environmental justice community. This summer, we are building a nature trail and outdoor classroom space at Raymond Elementary School. The trail will cross an old stone bridge and lead to a clearing with accessible seating space and educational tools that can connect teachers and students to nature.
Work will include cleaning, sanding, and painting stump seating and other classroom features. Come prepared in clothes that you don't mind getting messy!
The volunteer workday will last from 10am-1pm. Volunteers are free to come and go as they please. Registration is strongly recommended. Questions? Contact Stewardship & Volunteer Coordinator Rebecca Cushing at volunteer@wildlandstrust.org.
