Woodcock Walk

The American Woodcock can be found this time of year performing their unique aerial courtship displays in the fields of Great River Preserve. The South Shore Bird Club and Wildlands Trust are teaming up once again to offer this guided walk in hopes of viewing the Woodcock's amazing display, as well as other early spring birds.

Parking:

1025 Auburn St., Bridgewater MA

What to Wear & Bring:

  • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes - waterproof if possible

  • Water

  • Binoculars

What to Expect:

  • 2 miles of walking over wooded trails and fields

Restrictions:

  • Ages 8+

  • No pets

  • Limit 15 participants

Outdoor programs are weather permitting. Cancellations and postponements due to weather will be announced online and registered attendees will be notified via email.
