Join volunteer Hike Leaders Paul Vicino and Mike Arsenault on an exploration hike at Iron Mine Brook in Hanover, MA. Exploration hikes provide a space for hikers to learn and enjoy the trails with an experienced guide. The winter weather may be upon us come time for the hike. Please be prepared with trekking poles and boot traction devices as it may be icy. Registration is required for this FREE event!

Parking:
Meet at Chapman’s Landing and Iron Mine Brook Trails (Chapman’s Landing and Iron Mine Brook Trails, 2 Indian Head Dr, Hanover, MA 02339). Parking is available on-site.
What to Wear & Bring:
Sturdy, waterproof, closed-toed shoes
Trekking poles (it may be icy)
Boot traction devices (it may be icy)
Snacks
Water
Bug spray
Warm, weather-appropriate clothing
What to Expect:
Hiking the outer green loop, then traversing a small part of the red trail in a "v-shape" to make 2.5 miles.
Boardwalks, bridges and a river overlook.
Wildlife sounds and sightings!
