Exploration Hike at South Triangle Pond

Join Wildlands Trust for an exploration hike at South Triangle Pond Conservation Area! Volunteer hike leaders Debbie Leavitt and Skip Stuck will lead you through the trails starting from the Plymouth Town Forest parking lot. We will hike about 3.75 miles! Our route takes us along Drew Road to the trail entrance. We will then explore all trails with some required backtracking to see South Triangle Pond and Great South Pond!

Parking:

Meet at the parking lot of Plymouth Town Forest (127 Long Pond Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360). A small cart path to the right of it leads to a small parking area on Long Pond Road. Please park near each other as limited parking is available.

From Route 3: Take Exit 13 (old Exit 5), and travel south on Long Pond Road past Plymouth Community Intermediate School. The Town Forest parking lot will be on your right next to the Town Forest sign.

What to Wear & Bring (Required):

  • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes

  • Weather-appropriate clothing

  • Snacks

  • Water

  • Bug spray

What to Expect:

  • Hiking 3.75 miles at a 30-minute per-mile pace

  • This hike is great for those who want to get their heart rate up!

  • The terrain is moderately hilly throughout with lots of ups and downs. Watch your step over exposed roots and rocks along the trails.

  • Wildlands Trust volunteers to guide you!

Restrictions:

  • Ages 18+

  • No pets

  • Limit 10 hikers

Outdoor programs are weather permitting. Cancellations and postponements due to weather will be announced online and registered attendees will be notified via email.
