Join Wildlands Trust’s volunteer hike leader and South Shore Bird Club President, Brian Vigorito, for this unique aerial event! At this time of year, the American woodcock can be found performing their unique aerial courtship displays in the fields of Willow Brook Farm. We will take a guided walk hoping to see the American woodcock's amazing display and other early spring birds.

Parking:
Meet at Willow Brook Farm, 99 Barker St, Pembroke, MA 02359.
There is a parking area at the trailhead off Barker Street (Route 14), between Red Barn Road to the north and Fairwood Drive to the south. There is NO roadside parking permitted.
From Route 3: Take Exit 27 (old Exit 12) and merge onto MA-139 W. Turn left onto Water Street. Turn left onto MA-53 S/Washington Street. Turn right onto MA-14 W and continue on for 0.5 mile. The parking lot will be on your right.
What to Expect:

walking 2 miles on mostly flat terrain with some boardwalks and small hills

Headlamp and/or flashlight (must have!)
Binoculars
Sturdy, closed-toed shoes

Warm, weather-appropriate clothing
Restrictions:
No pets
Limit 15 hikers
Ages 7+
Outdoor programs are weather permitting. Cancellations and postponements due to weather will be announced online and registered attendees will be notified via email.
