Access Nature Hike at Brockton Audubon Preserve

Join Wildlands Trust for an access nature hike at Brockton Audubon Preserve! Volunteer hike leaders Stephen Dias and Dan Murphy will lead you through the trails starting from the Hancock Elementary School entrance. We will hike about 2.25 miles! Our route will take us out and back on the West Elm Connector Trail and return via the opposite side of the Main Loop Trail.

Parking:

Meet at Hancock Elementary School (Hancock Elementary School, 125 Pearl St, Brockton, MA 02301) where on-site parking is available. Please park towards the right side of the school, where you will meet our hike leaders at the school’s trail entrance to Brockton Audubon Preserve.

What to Wear & Bring (Required):

  • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes

  • Snacks

  • Water

  • Bug spray

  • Weather-appropriate clothing

What to Expect:

  • Hiking 2.25 miles over small hills that span the forest landscape. Watch your step throughout the trail, as rocks and exposed roots are abundant, and the boardwalk requires small steps up and down.

  • Wildlands Trust volunteers to guide you!

Restrictions:

  • Ages 5+

  • No pets

  • Limit 15 hikers

Outdoor programs are weather permitting. Cancellations and postponements due to weather will be announced online and registered attendees will be notified via email.
