Explore the Indian Head River Trail (IHRT) with Wildlands Trust! Start at Chapman's Landing and hike counterclockwise, completing the 4-mile red loop. IHRT is a larger trail system encompassing Wildlands Trust's Tucker Preserve. Get ready for scenic views that overlook the Indian Head River. Programming Coordinator Amy Burt and volunteer hike leader Susan Bolton will guide this hike.

Parking:

Meet at Chapman’s Landing and Iron Mine Brook Trails, 2 Indian Head Dr, Hanover, MA 02339. Parking is available on-site.

What to Wear & Bring:

• Sturdy, closed-toed shoes

• Snacks

• Water

• Bug spray

• Warm, weather-appropriate clothing

What to Expect:

• Hiking the 4-mile red loop at a 30-minute-per-mile pace

• Portions of the trail are steep and slanted

• Almost 700 feet of elevation gain

• Wildlands Trust staff and volunteers to guide you!

Restrictions:

• Ages 14+

• No pets

• Limit 15 hikers

Outdoor programs are weather permitting. Cancellations and postponements due to weather will be announced online and registered attendees will be notified via email.
