Land Protection Assistant - ☎️ 📧
Having grown up in Plymouth, Tess Goldmann has always considered herself lucky to live with such easy access to the outdoors. She spent a lot of time as a child in Myles Standish State Forest, and when the Covid-19 pandemic prevented her from getting experience elsewhere in the world, Tess was happy to have a multitude of trails right outside her home. It’s no wonder that she came back to work in conservation after graduating college! Tess learned about Wildlands Trust early, often kayaking on Halfway Pond and participating in the Green Team program twice in high school, so when she saw the opportunity to work with us again, she was happy to take it.
Tess graduated from Smith College with a double major in Biological Science and Computer Science. She started at Wildlands Trust in May 2022 as a seasonal land steward, before joining Wildlands full time. Since then, she has grown from stewardship assistant, to conservation restriction coordinator, to land protection assistant. In addition to coordinating and completing Conservation Restriction (CR) monitoring, Tess assists our land protection department with mapping, planning, and project coordination. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking and cooking, playing games, and desperately attempting to tire out her labradoodle (to little effect).
