Winter Solstice Meditation

Take time this winter solstice to join us for an afternoon group meditation with Betsy Hall. Begin with a discussion of mindfulness practices and techniques in front of the Wildlands Barn, then silently hike to the Beech Tree Clearing at Emery Preserve. On the way back, enjoy a naturalist discussion of your observations. This meditation is for both new and experiences meditators.

If there is bad weather, this program will be moved indoors to our Conservation Barn.

Parking:

Meet at the Wildlands Trust Headquarters, Davis-Douglas Farm

675 Long Pond Rd, Plymouth

What to Wear & Bring:

  • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes

  • Weather-appropriate clothing

  • Water

What to Expect:

  • 2 miles of hiking with some steep sections

  • An open, accepting, safe space for all

Restrictions:

  • No pets

  • Limit 15 participants

Betsy Hall is a meditation teacher with over 25 years of experience. She trained under renowned meditation instructor, Jose Silva, whose techniques have been studied by millions of people around the world. Betsy has also studied with Zen Masters, Buddhists teachers and Christian leaders. She loves to lead walking meditations in the forest because she believes that nature is one of the greatest meditation teachers. Betsy gently leads her participants in the art of meditation, encouraging self-discovery and delight. Her career as a teacher and guidance counselor is an essential part of her foundation as a meditation guide.
