Mindful Meditation at Shifting Lots Preserve

Join us for an invigorating session of mindful meditation at Wildlands Trust's Shifting Lots Preserve. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings of nature along the shores of Cape Cod Bay. This meditation offers a serene setting for new and experienced meditations to learn and practice mindfulness techniques under the guidance of experienced instructor Betsy Hall.

Parking:

Meet at Shifting Lots Preserve, 101 Lookout Point Road, Plymouth.

From Route 3: Take Exit 3 (old Exit 2) and head east to the stop sign at Route 3A. Turn left on Route 3A and go about 2 miles. Turn right onto Ellisville Road at the second entrance, then turn left down Salt Marsh Lane (gravel). Drive to the end of Salt Marsh Lane to the parking area.

What to Wear & Bring:

  • A blanket or towel for sitting at the beach

  • Sturdy, closed-toed shoes

  • Weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor activities

  • Water

  • Snack

What to Expect:

  • 1.5 hours of standing and walking mindfulness practices

  • An open, accepting, safe space where can be yourself

Restrictions:

  • Ages 18 +

  • No pets

  • Limit 15 participants

Leader Bio:

Betsy Hall is a meditation teacher with over 25 years of experience. She trained under renowned meditation instructor, Jose Silva, whose techniques have been studied by millions of people around the world. Betsy has also studied with Zen Masters, Buddhists teachers and Christian leaders. She loves to lead walking meditations in the forest because she believes that nature is one of the greatest meditation teachers. Betsy gently leads her participants in the art of meditation, encouraging self-discovery and delight. Her career as a teacher and guidance counselor is an essential part of her foundation as a meditation guide.

Outdoor programs are weather permitting. Cancellations and postponements due to weather will be announced online and registered attendees will be notified via email.
