Join Wildlands Trust as we prepare you to hike the first 6 miles of 8 Ponds Pass. 8 Ponds Pass is a 17.4 mile out-and-back trail that connects several Wildlands Trust and Town of Plymouth preserves. Throughout a few planned hikes, you had the chance to hike sections of 8 Ponds Pass. This led to a final one-way, 6-mile hike from Beaver Dam Road to Davis-Douglas Farm on Saturday, June 21 - the day of Wildlands’ Solstice Celebration! There were two hikes before this longer 6-mile hike. The first took you 2.5 miles round trip on Sunday, May 4. The second took you 4 miles round trip on Sunday, June 1. You do not need to have attended all the hikes to sign up!
This final hike in this series will be a total of 6 miles, taking you from Beaver Dam Road all the way to Davis-Douglas Farm. We will hike over varied, uneven, sandy, and pine needle-covered trails, with sections of steep and strenuous terrain. Hike leaders Ryley Newton and Susan Bolton will guide you on this hike.
We will meet at Davis-Douglas Farm before shuttling over to the Beaver Dam Conservation Area trailhead and hiking all the way back to Davis-Douglas Farm.*
